"Safe in her room again, Scarlett fell on the bed,
careless of her moiré dress, bustle, and roses...
...After a time, she rose from the bed and nervously paced the floor,
shedding garments as she walked.
Reaction from strain began to set in and she began to shake.
Hairpins slipped out of her fingers and tinkled to the floor
and when she tried to give her hair its customary hundred stokes,
she banged the back of her brush hurtingly against her temple.
A dozen times she tiptoed to the door to listen for noises downstairs
but the hall below lay like a black silent pit."

I have awards and tags that I have been ignoring and I feel dreadful for doing so.
BUT I am officially all moved and the semester is over.
So now I have no excuse.
(well, except if I'm out playing in the snow!)
Love love love you all.
Thank you for being so patient.

Ah lovely! So good to have you back! How is brooklyn? How is the snow? It's snowy here too (I love love love it!) and I am getting all finished with my christmas present making- it's been so fun. I am not doing much more than cuddling up at home with sketchbooks and needles and thread and hot cocoa...but I wouldn't have it any other way. This photo series, by the way, is absolutely incredible. I love it. Anyway, I hope you're well!

I love everything about this post! I've never read Gone with the Wind, and I've never been able to finish the movie because I could not stand Scarlet. The excerpt is beautiful though.
I've given you an award on my blog, feel free to check it out.
Have a nice day!

These are so lovely. The desk lamps remind me of the Pixar one which makes these photos all the more cuter in my mind!
love your blog! so many gorgeous photos.
How cool all those lamps! The second and third photo are my favourite I think.
